Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided by Sidrun Systems OÜ ("Sidrun", "we", "us"), a company registered in Estonia. This includes the website sidrun.ai and the Sidrun Extract and Sidrun Insight applications (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. The Service

Sidrun provides AI-powered document extraction and analysis tools. The Service is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future, with reasonable advance notice to existing users.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will endeavour to provide notice of significant changes.

3. Your account

You may sign in using Google OAuth or email via our authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must notify us immediately at contact@sidrun.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may not share your account credentials or use the Service through automated means unless we have expressly permitted it in writing.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Upload documents you do not have the right to process or share
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use the Service to process documents containing personal data of third parties without a valid legal basis to do so
  • Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service in a way that degrades availability for other users
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent

5. Your content and data

You retain all ownership rights to documents you upload and data you extract. By uploading a document, you grant Sidrun a limited, transient licence to process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. Documents are deleted from our systems immediately after processing is complete.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process any documents you submit to the Service, and that doing so complies with any applicable confidentiality obligations or data protection laws.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Sidrun Systems OÜ and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or other brand elements without our prior written consent.

7. AI-generated output

The Service uses AI models to extract and structure information from documents. AI-generated output may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and relying on any output produced by the Service. Sidrun makes no representations about the completeness or accuracy of extracted data.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sidrun Systems OÜ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of €100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Service or to others. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 5, 6, 8, 9, and 11) will continue to apply.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tallinn, Estonia.

Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at contact@sidrun.ai so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via a notice in the application at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
